Delhi is located in the center of Delaware County, in the northern edge of the Catskill Mountains. The Village of Delhi has a population of 2,583 in 2000, with the County having a population density of 33.2 persons per square mile.
It is home to many wonderful people, the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi and the Delaware Academy Bulldogs (2001 New York State Class C Football Champions) as well as serving as the County seat. Famous resident, the Honorable Charles Evans Hughes (Chief Justice of The
Supreme Court (1930-1941)) earned his law degree while teaching at Delaware Academy. Delhi resides in the northern edge of the Catskill Mountains located 160 miles North-Northwest from New York City, 75 miles East of Binghamton and 90 miles Southwest of Albany.
